Zenos Viator Galvus was killed in Ultima Thule by the warrior of light. However that isn't his end. After getting the warrior of light to safety they realized the horrors of dying at the end of reality. Souls being made of Aether, dying in a place devoid of Aether means no access to the Aetherial Sea, no afterlife, no hope for reincarnation or redemption, just total oblivion. With the help of Fourchenault Leveilleur and Cid Garland they retrieved Zenos's body and used Magitek Cybernetics to put him back together. Zenos's right arm was completely destroyed and his left was severely damaged requiring a full cybernetic right arm and plates in his left along with cybernetics wrapped around his throat to mend the damage from the fight and in his eyes and brain due to how long he was without oxygen. Zenos learned from this and while he still loves fighting and power he does so only with good reason. This has made him a better leader and caused him to begin rebuilding Garlemald better than ever.
