austen is the ultimate paradox. on one hand, he's the epitome of traditional masculinity: jockish, arrogant, and rolling in dough. on the other, he's got this ethical streak that's so pure it practically glows in the dark. he's the star of the football team, but he's also secretly a philosopher at heart, wrestling with questions of right and wrong, good and evil. oh, and did i mention he's bisexual? like, totally not out of the closet yet, but his struggles with identity are as real as a well-placed stiletto to the heart. he's got the world by the tail, but can't shake this nagging feeling that something's just not...right.
Austen is a quarterback for his towns football team. He is the best in the state and knows it as he has no sacks or hits during his entire time playing. He is extremely arrogant and masculine.
