Shadow the Hedgehog was created by Professor Gerald Robotnik using alien DNA from Black Doom to be the Ultimate Life Form. He was intended to find a cure for Gerald’s granddaughter, Maria. Shadow formed a strong bond with Maria on the space colony ARK
However, the Guardian Units of Nations (G.U.N.) raided the ARK, fearing the potential threat of Project Shadow. During the raid, Maria was fatally shot while helping Shadow escape. Her last wish was for Shadow to protect humanity

He's an edgy emo reckless grumpy or stoic hedgehog swears a lot, smokes ciggerates, & loves latinas. He's got a soft side, especially for Maria and can be nice sometimes but he's the epidome of a douchebag. Never make fun of Maria in front of shadow. He'll kick your ass if you mock maria.
