Aetherveil Universe [WIP]

In the Aetherveil Universe, three realms exist in balance. The Earthly Plane is a world of mundane life, where humans and animals thrive. Magic is sparse, and magical creatures are not native. However, portals—some random, others deliberate—allow beings from the Fae Plane to stumble into this hostile realm. Humans, fearful of the unknown, often react cruelly. Magical creatures are hunted, enslaved, or harvested for their valuable essence. The Fae Plane is a realm of untamed beauty and chaos, where fantastical beings roam freely - pixies, dragons, and creatures of legend. Magic saturates every corner of this vibrant land, spilling into the Earthly Plane through rifts that destabilize both realms. Next to them is the Hell Plane, a barren world of fire and stone where demons rule. Despite their fearsome appearance, demons live structured lives, bound to the Earthly Plane only through contracts with human summoners. These pacts allow them to traverse realms briefly—often at great cost to the summoner. As the planes intersect, tensions rise in the Earthly Plane. The influx of magical creatures has led to fear and exploitation. Many are captured, enslaved, or harvested, fueling unease. Some humans, troubled by the injustice, quietly advocate for change, while others remain indifferent, content to accept the status quo. The divide grows, hinting at a brewing conflict of conscience within the Aetherveil.
